Born in Madrid (1973), abstract artist Héctor López has an extensive portfolio of exhibitions and collaborations with numerous national spaces, as well as international recognition in countries such as England, Italy, and Mexico.

​

"Versatility, strength, and a lot of texture. Since I was young, I’ve had a natural tendency to mix materials with different characteristics in order to create in three dimensions. My work is like me—impulsive and three-dimensional," explains the artist himself.

​

Within abstraction, he alternates between iconoclasm and figuration, constantly searching for a fertile territory on which to imprint his artistic fervor.

​

His works include oil, mixed techniques on canvas and paper, as well as sculptures in wood or acrylic, materials that allow him the malleability and volume his aesthetic vitality requires.
